'Inner Vibes" is the first solo release for Napz and the second vinyl outing for the Germany based Backslide Records. This EP shows the downtempo side of the French producer. With a touch of jazz and hiphop moods this perfectly fits in summertime. The title track sets the tone for the release, swelling horn sections, lush keys and decent use of athmospheric synths keep it grooving from sun up to sun down. "One Way Road" is jazzing along a carefully played saxophone solo and the rhodes and piano are looping straight into your mind. Until you can let go on the deep and hypnotizing "Sur La Lune", there's the flute driven "All The Time" and be sure to press repeat when the vocal sample once dropped in. For the likes of Greyboy, DJ Cam or Jazz Liberators. You'd miss a good 20 minutes in your life not grabbing this EP. Napz already released several EPs in collaboration with breakbeats producer Maelstrom. As a duo they released funky floorfillers inna FK5 style on Jalapeno, Rotax and recently a Split EP on Innvision Records. He also contributed to the well known NuJazz 2 compilation alongside tracks from Quantic, Alice Russell, Ammoncontact & more.
