"about the ep !

these songs were written over the last couple years , and have been through a few different versions . i made these recordings in september 2019 (with vocals from caitlin on new song car song thanks caitlin) . it is called alex's birthday because i played these songs with alex on their birthday and it was the first time they felt like a cohesive thing . also alex has always encouraged me to keep playing them (thanks alex) . the songs vary in their subject matter , but in a broad sense they are about making sense of your place in the world as a trans person and my love for my friends , family and the nhs (thanks all of ya) ." - charlie (piglet)
