Irish songstress Aisling Stephenson writes with a real conversational intimacy and truly endearing soulful yearning. Hailing from Southern Ireland, Aisling moved to London to pursue music and has since found herself in the centre of the underground music scene collaborating with artists such as Ian Friday (Tea party music), Drew Horley ( TY ), Tony Swain (Universal Music) and Domu to name a few. The club circuit has received well her second house release 'Naked' produced by Danny Native out on Unique Uncut. Aisling is currently working up a storm with producer Phil Craig (Spoonface) on her debut album. This EP 'You took the sun', comes at an exciting time of releases prior to her album debut set for early 2010. From the opening track "Lucid dream's" depiction of an all consuming heady love to "Is it over's" breakdown and the painful heartbreak of "You took the sun", Aisling keeps a listener enchanted by her warm reassuring tones and unique expressive delivery. Currently receiving support from 1Xtra, the Journey show on playvybz.com, along with several other credible international Dj's, this ep is a solid introduction and sets Aisling up as one to watch for now and years to come.
