Catapulte Records present here a concept-CD featuring 9 London-based bands who all provided one (or two) songs and a cooking recipe. As the latter ranges from Porridge to Space Mayonnaise, the music switches from the 60's garage pop of all-girl power-trio No Cars, to the cosmic sounds of Guess What. The compilation also features ex-Country Teasers songwriter Ben Wallers – as The Rebel – and post-punk trio Wetdog ; as well as the latest recordings by Catapulte home bands Pissinboy, Helium and Eggs and Orchestre du Mont-Plaisant. A must-have for any decent kitchen!
