Time Does Not Cling to the Living

A 1 track spiritual single (5m 32s) — released July 4th 2025 on Anova Music

Or Kantor returns with a new single—his second release from the upcoming album Snake Island—following the acclaimed Sarda Sarda. Titled "Time Does Not Cling to the Dead," the track dives deeper into Kantor's imagined soundtrack world for the long-forgotten cult film Snake Island. Channeling the theatrical intensity of William Shatner's spoken-word delivery and the mystical minimalism of Eden Ahbez, it offers a surreal, meditative chapter in this unfolding cinematic vision.

A respected tattoo artist and the founder of the celebrated Love Light Studio, Or began his musical journey following a chance encounter with Johnny Sharoni (Garden City Movement / Anova Music) during a tattoo session. After hearing a few home‑recorded demos, Johnny signed him on the spot to Anova Records.

His debut album, Sarda Sarda, introduced a self‑coined genre: Subterranean—a moody blend of surf guitar, psychedelic grooves, Mediterranean ballads, and dusty electronic textures. Drawing inspiration from Gábor Szabó, Omar Khorshid, Budos Band, Dorothy Ashby, and Tommy Guerrero, the album earned praise from BBC Radio 6 Music, FIP Radio, RRR Australia, and Songlines Magazine, with KCRW naming one of its tracks "Track of the Day."

With Snake Island, Kantor expands his sonic universe into deeper, more cinematic terrain—fusing spiritual jazz, desert blues, and Mediterranean noir with a surreal visual aesthetic. The album is both a continuation and a bold evolution, blurring the lines between myth, memory, and music.
