B.A.D founder NIKS debuts her first ever EP on Céad with "Milieu". The four release teleports listeners to four differing environments and spaces within one sonic journey, where each track places you in a setting that NIKS enjoys to dance and play in.


The first half of the EP is for the club, where Carnival flavours, bouncy percussion and celebratory energy prevail. In V2B, violins, speedy cowbells, drums, vocals, an alarm and a tingly bass all work together to build this immediate and non-stop feeling. And Chill is an ode to the hot and sweaty nights. With succinct yet catchy vocals, a fun played in chord for a bass and a bounce throughout, NIKS' first ever house track should make you feel sexy and in charge.


The second half is a cool down - Sequences transports you to a beachy sunrise via NIKS'own field recordings of birds and the sea in Mexico, which fill and build the space. Dubstep adjacent Stomp The Grid, which is NIKS' first collaboration with Or:la, soaks you in its warm sub bass. This real underground and "in the zone" track touches on elements of grime married with glitched out sound bites, subtle sub basses and hard hitting drums. All of this complemented by one drawn out echoed word throughout.
