Crafted as an audio accompaniment to his 'Turbo Sud' research project, 'ZONA SISRI' is the brainchild of Italian-born, London based multidisciplinary artist Agostino Quaranta. This selection of music follows on from his previous installations, live performances, exhibitions, writings and research activities all aimed at starting a conversation around Southern Italy's sonic traditions.

The tracks draw inspiration from imaginary and factual memories of the micro-history of Tecnopizzica: forgotten attempts from the early '90s to computerise Puglia's traditional music style, Pizzica Salentina.

Fellow Italian producers Ehua and Piezo contribute to the release with two masterful remixes in their own unique styles.
