The Silver Abduction

A 10 track dream pop album (41m 37s) — released August 30th 2024 on Lightwell Recordings

Taking influences from Shirley Collins, The Crying Shames, Joe Meek, Julie Cruise and Morricone, those aware of Blue States, The 18th Day of May, and Lake Ruth will find much to love in this new venture. New listeners however will discover The Silver Abduction's debut album resonates in beauty but hides a dark shadow, beneath the silvery lake

I really like that, that is the Silver Abduction with ‘Castle Rock’. It’s the new single taken from the self titled debut album, which is coming out on the 30th August. And The Silver Abduction are a duo, Andy Dragazis (formerly known as Blue State), he’s collaborating with Allison Bryce, who used to be in The 18th Day of May. Do you remember them? They were fantastic… …together they are The Silver Abduction. Andy is based in the UK, Allison’s based in the US so there aren’t any plans at the moment for live shows but there are hopes that this will happen and I can’t wait to hear this record. Think that sounds excellent. - John Kennedy Radio X

Atmosphere, breeziness, unease and ghostly beauty flow freely from almost every pore of The Silver Abduction’s eponymous debut - Lenny Helsing Shindig
