An Amalgamation of Sorts, Pt. 0
A 11 track art & progressive rock album (58m 35s) — released October 2nd 2015 on Milky Bomb Records
Milky Bomb Records Presents:
An Amalgamation of Sorts... Pt. Zero. (Multi-genre compilation)
A combination of on-going projects and unreleased material: past and present.
- Featuring a network of individuals who weave in and out of each other's spectrum. A group who... all stood together would resemble a marvel of characters - more freakish, occasionally disturbed but marvellous.
Here are 11 tracks that complement each other over a period of several years.
1. Crack House Dragon: Grunge In Dadra - A continuous project, that so far has mashed up (recorded) a couple of tracks. This being the first: you'll hear the influences, the subtle fusion and story telling of another kind. Featuring James Clayton of Sunday Driver (sitar & guitar). Notably, James has performed with Mothers Anger supporting Serj Tankian in Seattle, and recently collaborated with Seattle band, Motopony. CHD also includes former and current members of Thirteen: Simon Fairchild, Joe Nicholson and Oli Perry.
2-6. Meadowman: Morning & Red (Previously Unreleased) - Alternative, melodic, progressive rock. This band includes members of Sunday Driver (Mel & Chemise), TK of TK & Rose and Simon Morrison. Previously unreleased tracks taken from their first E.P Meadology. New material has since been recorded at Milky Bomb Studios awaiting release.
3-11. SLF&Co.: Elusive 9 Feat. Burning Haus & Oli Perry - A one off track recorded at Livingston Studios, London back in 2009. This collaboration was from a late night recording session between SLF and Burning Haus. Vox later recorded and performed by Oli Perry of Thirteen and Crack House Dragon.
- Back Scratcher (Filo Barbieri Remix) Feat. Beyonder, Vicky Harrison & Chemise - A remix of an unreleased track taken from the yet to come - SLF&Co. album No beats in Algebra. This track is inspired from the original guitar hook, giving you that disco/funky house vibe. Incorporating the delightful and smooth vox from Beyonder (media artist and poet).
4-8. Thirteen: Non-Script - After numerous gigs in and around London and supporting the likes of They Live! (East London hip-hop rock outfit) and Seattle's Mothers Anger, the band now begin to record their first full-length album at Milky Bomb Studios. This track is taken from The Bedroom Sessions, one of Thirteen's latest instalments from last year's release - highlighting the bands more recent material of what is yet to come.
- Old Aggie (Previously Unreleased) - This will make you believe it's another band. It's a smooth, rosy piece of tunage, a delicatesse with a powerful chorus. A previously unreleased track from an early stage/the beginnings of Thirteen, featuring: Richard Bullen (Mel - vox), Jon Taylor (drums) with founder members Simon Fairchild (bass) and Simon Richardson (aka Chemise - guitar).
5-10. Mima Kojima: Press Play + Record - Mima Kojima's pop tune (closest ya gonna get) is gonna batter ya with this hard dance, energised bunny of a tune... It is a joy! Taken from the Grandfather E.P.
- Mima Will Get Her Revenge - Proper intense but yet, sweet noise! This is your anthem! Pop on ya clogs and mess it up at your local disco. Taken from theParadox E.P.
7. Sunday Driver: Flo (Filo Barbieri Remix) - Inspired by the vocal and harp sounds, Filo started work on creating a techno track. You add the ambience and atmospheric sounds, and thus, complements the vocal hook. Filippo Barbieri, Italian born - now resides in London. Filippo is influenced by disco, Chicago house, deep house and techno.
9. Logicbrake: Tripswitch (Previously Unreleased) - A five-piece band that performed a rolling groove-core style of rock that delivered a punch. This former band now rests within the mid-noughties. Previously unreleased - taken from the Applied E.P. Possibly once sold from the back of the bands old postal van. Good times!
This has been a compilation introducing collaborations between some old beans.
