With five albums, a series of Narcozik EPs, an album with French super-group Soleil Noir featuring Swift Guad, Davodka and Euphonik, and many fiery concerts across France, Dooz Kawa has become a key figure in the French underground rap scene. His career has been marked by the introduction of Eastern European gypsy melodies in his music, the mandolin sounds of Vincent Beer Demander, Nietzschean references influenced by the philosopher Dorian Astor, high-profile features from Bireli Lagrène and Gaël Faye to Lucio Bukowski, Shantel and Degiheugi, and, of course, a flow as impeccable as it is implacable. Vol de Nuit, his sixth album, adds to his already remarkable body of work. This record represents an astute extension of his previous albums, with a range of productions and guests that perfectly match his deep, touching and poetic lyrics. It features Euphonik, Swift Guad, Saligo and Demi Portion in top form. As for the single "Naufragés", it's a piece worthy of an opera that could have been written for Captain Nemo. Vol de Nuit is a high-flying exercise that will leave its listeners weightless.
