From Middlesbrough to Mexico; rising star Sahar follows up his Tong-hammered Paradiso release 'Madi' with a trip to the Naica mines, Chihuahua on Midnight People. This one goes deep… 300 metres deep.

Welcome to 'Naica'. The title track sets the scene; the kick drum and galloping bassline drill deep into the earth striking synth-rich minerals that shimmer with emotion, tension and raw energy.

We drill deeper again to find the 'Cave Of Swords'. The slower tempo creating a tension and smouldering intensity before we're suddenly hit with extreme blasts of euphoric heat and light. Inspired by the cave itself where crystals as long as a metre exist, there's a sense of adventure, danger and awe running throughout.

We drill even deeper again to find the 'Crystal Maze'. Slower, moodier, even more intense and driven by a taut, sinewy siren, we're now 300m deep in a cave where crystals over 12 metres long have been growing for over 10,000 years, slow-cooked to perfection in the extreme heat of mother nature's finest magma. And the only way back to the surface is through the rising, dubby ripples of Third Son's remix. Glistening like the crystals themselves, like the whole EP this takes us from Naica to nice, from underearth to underground, from magma to magnificent. Feel the heat.
