Marking the 10th anniversary of this series of 'mixtape style', revolutionary and thought provoking albums, Omniverse Records have pressed a short run of never before on Vinyl releases. The complete set of records "It's Right To Be Civil", "Extend The Knowledge", "Message From Soulville" and the new "Generation - X" albums will be available each on single record continuous play vinyl. The albums are a must for the fans of Marc Mac's side projects, each album has a story to tell and the collection makes great listening both musically and subtly informative. Marc Mac takes another journey through the 1960's Civil Rights movement with "Extend The Knowledge". The limited edition double CD is packed with jazzy, soulful 90's style hip hop beats cleverly intertwined with vocal clips from the Civil Rights era. "Extend The Knowledge" is the follow up beat tape from "It's Right To Be Civil" also included in the double pack release. Marc Mac is one half of 4hero the band nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and MOBO award winners, Marc is also well known for his work as Visioneers with releases through BBE records including a new album due spring 2012. Marc and 4hero have an good presence online with over 100k members to their social network inc Facebook, Myspace and Twitter and Marc's Radio podcast are currently hitting 20k downloads per show. Extend The Knowledge/Right To Be Civil promo is getting good support from Blog sites worldwide and radio support including Stones Throw Podcast, Dez Parkes (Colorful Radio), Nuwave Radio, Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio1), Luke Arnold, Kev Beadle and Benji B (1xtra).
