Primitive was started as a project in the mid 90's by Chris Duckenfield (ably assisted by engineer extraordinare Richard Brown)

The label represented a stripped-down and sonically heavyweight series of essential DJ tools, Influenced equally by Detroit Techno innovations and the minimalist reinvention of House.

Winning wide support from Techno and House DJ's alike & enduring - perhaps due to their raw, basic construction - way beyond their original inception.
