Athens based L.L. Groove (aka Lakis 'soulflower' Leloudas), has been touring the local music scene as a DJ for almost 30 years! Inspired by the deeply rooted r&b spirituality in the timeless recordings of jazz masters such as Lou Donaldson, Herbie Mann, Jorge Ben and soul legends as Dexter Gordon, Ray Charles, James Brown, he has started developing his musical skills since the 70s. Living it up from the stripped-down mixing technology to the one-click performing dj sets, it was only natural that flashing ideas while on decks and saturated musicality bred with care by collecting -already- thousands of records, would eventually come to composing, arranging and producing a full album. This is where 'SoulFlower' comes from, L.L. Groove's debut album, an amalgamation of heavy basslines, vintage drumbeats, catchy guitar riffs and lush hammond melodies, all imprinted through a unique perspective of the contemporary hip shaking and mind blowing bar culture.
