Hope isn't a Four Letter Word is Jordan taking all these influences and experiences creating something completely himself, taking the listener into orbit and back again in a haze of texture and streams of musical consciousness.

Starting with glassy DX7 nostalgia, his ability to compose deeply evocative melodic and harmonic structures is laid bare from the first note. Then comes the melodica and we're in, Jordan showing his lyrical and beautifully mournful phrasing, creating something entirely hypnotising.

From there and throughout the album we're treated to a masterclass in psychedelic electronic excursions, those digital textures and melodica mix with analogue synths and Fender Rhodes - all the time the humanity of his live playing coming through so powerfully - we could be there watching him perform this, the awe of his perfectly judged jazz-infused virtuosity.
