Grand Carnival / Ain't so Low

A 2 track funk single (7m 4s) — released October 4th 2010 on Dojo Cuts Records

Australian deep funk and soul combo DOJO CUTS are back! More than a year after the release of their self-titled debut album, Dojo remind everyone of their rightful spot on the musical map by delivering two brand new killer tracks not present on the album. Once again featuring rising soul star Roxie Ray on vocals, this double-sider 45 confirms that this band from Down Under is headed straight for the top! On side A's "Grand Carnival" Dojo get raw n dirty with a killer deep funk groove complete with scratchy guitar, flying horns and some badass bass action that is sure to keep any dancefloor movin', while Roxie adds some extra flavor with her rugged voice. On the flip, the band provides a more soulful number with a super crossover cut, and Roxie steps up to the plate like only she knows how to do! There's no doubt about it, with these two tracks Dojo Cuts and Roxie Ray consolidate their standing as one of the hottest outfits of new school funk & soul. Don't sleep though, this 45 will be limited to 500 copies with no repress, so first come first served!
