Over nearly a decade on both Echocord and Echocord Colour, Brendon Moeller—under his given name and his pseudonyms Beat Pharmacy and Echologist—has delivered a masterclass in dub-techno artistry. His main-label contributions ("Birth," "Sweetspot / Humpback," and Elixir) are steeped in deep, minimal dub with lush, hypnotic textures crafted for immersive dancefloor experiences. On Echocord Colour, Moeller explored alternative personas and broader sonic territory: Echologist's Buzz Factory EP confronted listeners with brooding sub frequencies and dark dub experiments, while Beat Pharmacy's Cut Deep EP offered taut, rhythm-driven tools for DJs. He returned as Brendon Moeller with A Confederacy of Dunces EP, a trio of tracks designed to adapt across the flow of a night, each imbued with a hypnotic, dubby sensibility.
