Normans Eyes

A 3 track house ep (18m 14s) — released October 25th 2010 on tiny sticks/m&t inc.
Mock & Toof return with a third single from their critically acclaimed debut album 'Tuning Echoes' 'Norman's Eyes' features Permanent Vacation's mega-talented Pollyester on vocals & like much of the album this track goes down its own unique, uncategorical musical path. Some say it is leftfield, it's electronic, it's pop and it is but it's none of it too. What is clear though is that it is original, catchy & memorable. Prosumer (Panorama Bar DJ & recording artist for Ostgut Ton) & Massimiliano Pagliara (Balihu/Robert Johnson) provide two deeper interpretations strictly for the dancefloor. For those unaware, Mock & Toof built up an enviable reputation via 12' releases on James Murphy's DFA Recordings and their own Tiny Sticks imprint; they specialize in brilliantly off-kilter, disco-fuelled grooves that are laced with originality. Enough originality in fact to have caught the attention of Hot Chip, Zero 7, Holy Ghost! and Groove Armada who all recently called for their remix services, and that's just the tip of their production iceberg.

'...sounds like The XX but all grown-up & sexy. Hugely psychedelic & endlessly catchy.' (Mixmag June 2010) - Mixmag

'..Mock & Toof have created a definite contender for album of the year... brilliant sound' - Clash
