The Raah Project is the musical association between the composer and producer Ryan Ritchie and the violinist and composer Tamil Rogeon, both based in Melbourne. In 2009 the duo, with the expanded support of an ensemble of 18 elements including strings, winds and percussion, released their first work "Score", positively welcomed by the national press among which The Independent and tastemakers and DJs like Gilles Peterson, Benji B, Osunlade, Kev Bedle. The incessant search for new inspiration rationalized through a balanced use of electronics as a new language for creating music, the duo spent 2013 in the studio to give a worthy sequel to "Score". The first new single is "Kill Me In The Summer", Hitchcockian drama, jarring that filters their typical Australian melodic vibe with a clear reference to labels such as Deep Medi, Hyperdub of Kode 9 and the late DJ Rashad to create a "footwork ballad" sharp and hyperkinetic that embodies the spirit of "Take Me Elsewhere" the new album out March 13th for the Italian label Black Marigolds.
