Chiminyo is a drummer and producer from North London who gained a reputation for his solo project. Using self-coded software, every drum hit and cymbal crash triggers synths and samples, granting Chiminyo unparalleled creative control and liberating his performances from loops, click-tracks, and backing tracks. His groundbreaking solo album, "I Am Panda," garnered widespread acclaim, earning him the Jazzwise Digital award and a Worldwide FM award nomination.

He has since gone on to start his own record label, NRG Discs, and released records where he collaborates with the finest musicians on the jazz scene. His records are stocked in all continents and he has received support from tastemakers such as Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova, Somewhere Soul, time garcia & Tina Edwards over the last year and have been played on radio 1, and radio 3, BBC radio 6, Jazz FM, soho radio, ballami, nts and rinse fm and is hitting over a million streams every year on spotify alone.
