MidnightRoba is the solo project of vocalist, songwriter and producer Roba El-Essawy. The voice of Attica Blues (Mo Wax 1997, Sony 2000), Roba is due to release her second solo album later this year on her independent label Sonder Records. Whilst the first album was very much rooted in jazz and was a personal expression, this is an electronic offering and marks this time, globally, for us all.

Giving Thanks is the third release from MidnightRoba's second album, Raise A Symphony. Penned through feelings of helplessness in the face of moral injury and apathy, Giving Thanks is an offering to those on the frontline of change. To the activists and campaigners who tirelessly sacrifice their comfort for the benefit of others. It is for those involved in direct action, those that organise and protest for the earth, for justice, for freedom and equality.
