Johnny Thunders Said

A 2 track pop single (8m 3s) — released November 22nd 2024 on Tenorio Cotobade

Dublin's Ginnels return after almost 10 years! Led by Mark Chester, Ginnels were one of the bands of the Popical Island collective which made the Irish music scene of the early 10s so exciting. The band's relationship with Tenorio Cotobade goes back to 2013, when the compilation "Plumes" came out and introduced Ginnels to an international audience. 2014 saw the release of "A Country Life", an album launched with a celebrated gig at that year's Madrid Popfest. Now at last, there's a forthcoming new Ginnels album, titled "The Picturesque". These years away have just added wonderful layers to their sound, akin to contemporaries such as Real Estate and classic acts like The Go-Betweens. 'Johnny Thunders Said' is the second single taken from "The Picturesque", backed by the non-album track 'Together'.
