'Stay a little longer' is another unique soulful pop tune written by producer and founding member of Hip Hop British legends The Herbaliser - Jake Wherry and the up and coming Portuguese / British soul artist Maya Blandy.

It was one of the first pieces of music that Jake wrote after buying a Roland Juno 60 plugin for his Akai MPC. Instant 80's sounds in abundance!

Musically it was inspired by the era of "Everything She Wants" with a touch of "Last Christmas" though Jake took it in a slight Motown direction when he did a James Jamerson inspired bassline.

Maya's vocal arrangement explores the feeling of nostalgia and youth and the very universal feelinng of falling in love and it not being recipricated. The playful lyrics show vulnerability in being human.

Overall it's got an 80's vibe and we love it.
