QUADRANT

A 6 track ambient album (40m 23s) — released March 28th 2025 on Old Technology

QUADRANT was recorded live on April 6th, 2024 at dadaLab in Austin, TX.

"This performance happened as part of the ongoing quadraphonic sound series 'QUADRANT,' which is intended to showcase immersive audio works. Live visuals for the performance were provided by David Sydiongco.

"For the 'QUADRANT' performance I was interested in the idea of crafting a series of short abstract musical moments or "worlds" that would last roughly 3-5 minutes each. Within these moments would be pre-prepared elements and then freely improvised elements. All of which would be blended and morphed together in a way that would create something exciting and truly "in the moment."

"Stylistically, I worked with a combination of natural field recorded sounds in conjunction with samples from my personal sound library and audio snippets ripped from the Internet. The performance is heavily inspired by Musique concrète and sound collage, but also embodies synthetic and melodic phrases.

"The main goal of this performance was to blend moments of frenetic energy with expanded textural soundscapes. While the live performance was presented in 4-channel quadraphonic, the stereo recording aims to embody the same energy and movement."

“a glitchy musique électrique that feels like walking through numerous corridors, command centres and cockpits of a lost-in-space galaxy explorer.” - Mutant Zones

“ [Musical] Layers are added, taken away, elongated, and repeated, to create aspects of unpredictability, of suspense, though it’s all texturally pleasing as all hell.” - Ears to Feed

“When it comes to experimentation, the Brooklyn-based producer knows no limitations” - Dummy Magazine
