A song about the need to seek joy during troubled times, about lightening an emotional load, if only for moments of distraction, about searching for blessings in difficult days, however small, whatever and wherever they may be.

Penned in 2022/23 during a period of economic austerity in the UK, at a time of increased taxes, inflation, mortgage interest rates, energy costs and sky-high food prices, putting people in impossible, unsustainable positions, MidnightRoba wrote 'Joy', looking for light. Joy is both time to heal and time to help prepare for what is to come. It is laughter, love, a promise-filled sunset, a flower finding life in a crack in the concrete, a perfectly guided ball into the top left-hand corner of the goal. It is music that fills your heart and it is the hope of change.
