It's My Turn

David Roland Hooper (1955 - Houston, Texas). Always attracted by the beats of the Southern Soul sounds, shows up his talent for Blues and Rhythm & Blues in his hometown. He then moves to Los angeles, city of opportunities, to launch his career as an artist. There he was member of relevant bands such as "Hollywood", "Another Level" or "Sooper Experience Band". After this time in L.A. and Las Vegas and touring stages all around the world, reaching places like Hong Kong, he establishes in Spain, not just by chance but because of LOVE. DAVID HOOPER & TUCXONE RECORDS Tucxone Records finds out about his talent and together they decide to get down to work on his new project. The feeling between the parts of this working team is obvious from the very start. Intense ballads and breathtaking riffs are the foundation of a solid mountain crowned by the expressive and smooth voice of David. Alongside with The SilverBacks as backing band they pick up the never-ending torch of Soul music and carve their names into the book of black music history.

It's My Turn is an album in which we seek to go deeper into the sound of Soul done in the 60's in the south of the U.S.A. Our goal is to pay tribute to labels like Hi records, but without giving up our own identity.

This project with David Hooper has been very carefully developed, from its concep- tion to its final stages, and David is the secret ingredient to make perfect a record accomplished with mastery by Tucxone Re- cords workforce.
