In a fashion that will come to characterise much contemporary Techno post Sandwell District, A side Transversal undulates over the course of seven minutes with elements phasing in and out of focus while a relentless kick drum acts as a binding agent. Despite the driven nature of the production, Transversal remains a deeply hypnotic piece of music, not without it's own subtleties as the machines driving the production gently phase over the course of the track.
The flip offers two remixes. First from Berlin based James Shaw AKA Sigha, who's first outing on the Avian label maintains the cavernous low end of the original - choosing though to introduce a chaotic Hood-esque lead. B2 sees Ventress up the anxiety levels, switching the rhythm to half time and pushing the delays to the max.
