Long before Papernut Cambridge was even a half-seen dream and his work with Death In Vegas was still 10 years in the future, Ian Button began making a series of 4-track recordings in his suburban Kent home.
This release comprises some of the earliest of those archives - a set of guitar instrumentals written and recorded between 1987 and 1989 - the period when Button was recording and touring with Thrashing Doves, and in his spare time setting up and exploring his first dedicated home recording setup.
There was no band name or project name at the time - these recordings are being released under the Papernut Cambridge umbrella to mark the history and work done at Button's home and production hub Davenport Audio Research as it is now being decomissioned and relocated.
